How many email addresses do I get with web-site hosting?
Most ISP's advertise "56k access", is it all the same no matter what provider I use?
Not really. Many providers are limited to the equipment that is located in their office, which
may be quite a distance from where you are calling from. With NRWeb.net's service, our modems
are located in the central offices (the phone buildings), and that way, your phone call doesn't
have to travel across town to get to the internet. Another limiting factor that most ISPs face
is the speed of their backbone to the internet. Most ISPs use a T1 (1.53Mbps) or similar speed
service. Full Spectrum uses a combination of OC-3 (155Mbps) and OC-12 (622Mbps) fiber connections
to our backbone providers.
Can I use my Macintosh computer with NRWeb.net's internet access service?
Of course! Any computer that has a modem and supports PPP connectivity (almost all modern
computers do) it can use NRWeb.net's internet access service. There are no extra charges
or fees, and all of our access plans will work on it.
Will I be able to check my email when I'm at work?
Yes. NRWeb.net offers web-based email with any internet access/email account. You can access
it by going to http://webmail.fullspectrumia.com in
any web browser. You can read, delete, and send new email messages from there without having to
download the messages to your computer.
How big is the email box that I get with my account?
NRWeb.net does not impose limits on the amount of messages you can receive, or the size of
the messages you receive. Keep in mind: many ISPs limit the size of email messages that can be
sent and received, so if you plan to send a large file to someone via email, make sure their ISP
will allow it.
What internet software can I use with NRWeb.net's Internet Access service?
Any standard internet software can be used. While Microsoft Internet Explorer is recommended,
there are several different web-browsers available for free use. There are a number of
Instant Messenging applications that can be used for free, even to chat with AOL users. Check
out our Web Tools page for more information.
What kind of web-sites can Full Spectrum host?
Our servers are equipped to host the most popular technologies available. We offer database
support, server-side scripting, secure server access (SSL), Frontpage Server Extensions, and
secure site certificates. If you have a web-site with special hosting requirements, we will do
everything reasonably within our power to facilitate it. Hosting for .Net (dot net) sites
and technologies will be available in mid 2003.
When I register a domain name, who owns it?
Whenever a domain name is purchased and registered for a customer of ours (by us or you), your
name is put in the domain record as the owner and the "Administrative Contact", which means that
you have the final say as to what can be done with it, and you own it. If Full Spectrum is
hosting the domain, we request that our tech support staff is listed as the "Technical Contact",
but this is not required.
I already have a domain name registered; can Full Spectrum host it for me?
Absolutely. The domain will need to be transferred to our registrar, or the hosting information
can be changed so it points to our servers (whichever is easier, decided on a domain-by-domain
basis). We do not charge any extra fees for transferring the domain to our servers or to park a
domain on our servers.
How many email addresses do I get with web-site hosting?
All of our web-hosting plans come with unlimited email accounts. You can choose one or several
accounts when you initially sign-up and add more at any time. There are no setup fees involved when
setting up email accounts.
